The Houston Yorkie club participates and supports many events in the community to help educate the public about the care and training of all dogs. Here are some events that our club has supported:

Meet the Breed at Reliant Dog Shows
The Houston Yorkie club participates in the 'Meet the Breed' at the Reliant Dog Shows each summer.  This is a time when the public can actually have hands-on time with the yorkies.  The public can ask questions of experienced yorkie breeders/owners about the breed.  It is a great learning experience for anyone who may be interested in making a yorkie a member of their family.

Canine Health Institute
On 9/17/09 the YTCGH had a program in conjunction with the regular meeting about the new Canine Health Institute for pain management and rehabilitation for dogs who are suffering from different disabilitating illnesses.  For more information about their services, please contact them at 713-341-9529.

Pet Fest
One of the fun events that the club supports every fall is the Pet Fest held in Old Town Spring, TX.  Here are some pictures of the event and our 2- and 4-legged friends.
